The following selections should be taken as a guide to help you achieve an attractive and lasting display. They include fish that are all compatible, but have varied habits and appearance.

The actual choice of fish is always a matter of personal taste, coupled with the availability of particular species, so where preferred, any of the fish mentioned can be substituted with a similar number of others that are comparable in terms of size and behavior.

Example fish selections for various sized tanks

Very small, peaceful fish for the small tank.

NB
If you decide to use any of the selections above, please, do not buy all the fish at one time. It's better for the fish if you introduce them into your aquarium a few at a time, at a 2 week interval, as this lets them settle into their new home and you can monitor their behavior and health for any diseases they might have brought with them.
