information

The male is probably the prettiest of the dwarf cichlids, but this is one of the more difficult of that group to keep.
It does best in water that is rather soft and acid, and newly introduced specimens may not acclimatize well to their new home, and will often have to be tempted with various live foods.
Fairly peaceful, it spends it's time near the bottom of the aquarium.
