One of the armoured catfishes, so-called because of the heavy overlapping plates that cover the body.
An excellent scavenger, but rather shy and nocturnal in it's
behavior.
Although not dangerous even to small fish, a large specimen may frighten and disturb the other occupants as it dashes to the surface for air.
