This is one of the largest corydoras, and therefore particularly suitable for inclusion in aquaria with large fish that might tend to disturb and worry the smaller catfish.
Not as popular as it was a few years ago, perhaps because it lacks the attractive markings of some of the rarer corydoras that are now more often available.
